The University of Vermont has tasked our Vermont Landscaping company to install 6,000 square feet of sod this week in preparation of the University’s commencement this weekend. Several different crews have been working on the installation there throughout the week.
Things are pretty quiet around the office of this large Vermont landscaping company, as all of our crew is out preparing to deal with the anticipated snow today!
Last night was the first time that this Vermont landscaping company melted snow for UVM. Instead of trucking the snow away from campus to a snow dump, the college purchased a Snow Dragon. This machine melts the snow, which is then poured into a parking lot catch basin. Our crew was excited about this trial run and even our General Manager stopped by to check it out!
Part of our Vermont landscaping crew spent several days last week at the University of Vermont dealing with drainage alongside the Dudley H. Davis Center loading dock. They installed a stone swale and plantings. This crew also installed similar plantings in this vicinity to tie the area into the rest of the landscape.
