Massive Entry Pillars

Friday, January 15, 2016

These Massive Stone Veneer Pillars were built on the entry of a 25' wide driveway. They Measure 6' H X 4' W X 4' D. Our Mason Veneered American Granite onto CMU structure using Possi-Tie's for strength. Although not on the structure yet, we have 4" custom cut granite caps with an additional 4" of beveled top.... these things are massive. The caps will also have custom made LED strip lights recessed into the cap.

Stone Walls At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center

Thursday, April 30, 2015

This project was designed by ORW Landscape Architects out of White River Junction Vermont. The Landscaping being done at this building is at the Williams Translational Research Building At Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The Wall Stone being used by our Landscape Masons is a Granite quarried right here in Chester VT. The attention to detail our Landscape Masons have is beyond what most would even comprehend. Just about every Wall Stone is meticulously cut by hand for the perfect fit. Some times our Landscape Masons will work a stone 3-5 times before is is actually set in mortar. You can see the quality of workmanship in the finished product itself.

Entry Way Rehab

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

This front entry way originally had timbers retaining the beds which flanked the walk and started to fail. The original pavers were completely detererating after 20+ years of salt, harsh weather, and heaving in our harsh VT winters. We replaced the timbers with 18" granite curbing to retain the beds, and used a random pattern textured paver to play off of the colors of off the house and granite.  The sawn cut ends of the granite were thermalled on site to match the top sides of the large granite stones.

Majestic Walls In Adirondaks

Monday, January 5, 2015

This home was built on a steep hillside on Friends Lake In NY state. Thousands of tons of ledge was blasted away to level the building site, leaving a challenging site to work with. After hauling away thousands of tons of stone and hauling in thousands of tons of clean fill and tops soil we were ready to start building Stone Walls and landscape the property. Check back soon to see finished project.
