lawn careHydroseed: Our most common method of installing a new lawn. Our tried and true blend of northern hardy seed, fertilizer, fiber mulch and water-retaining polymers is carefully calibrated to ensure the desired lush and healthy lawn you’ve been waiting for. Under ideal soil and weather conditions. Seeds should germinate within 9-14 days. Newly seeded lawns must never be allowed to dry out. Use sprinklers to keep the top inch of soil constantly moist. Until established, use every attempt to keep foot and pet traffic to a minimum on a newly seeded lawn. You may begin mowing when your lawn reaches a height of 4 inches. Be careful never to mow grass lower than 2 inches. You may increase the use of your new lawn with each mowing.

Sod: Landshapes installs sod that is a proven, northern hardy blend of bluegrass and fine fescues shipped and installed on the same day. Less care is needed for establishing these lawns, but adequate watering to secure the roots to the soil will be necessary for the first month. Keep foot and pet traffic to a minimum while the roots are establishing. Careful mowing can begin as soon as new growth has started, keeping grass blades no shorter then 2 inches. Limit weight and turning radii during initial mowing to avoid damaging the rooting edges of the sod.
